Your answers stay in this browser
The free test calculates scores on your device. It does not submit individual answers or political scores to an application server. It does not ask for your name, email address, or account.
Answers, test length, and progress are saved in your browser’s local storage so that you can resume. They remain there until you clear them or your browser removes site data. Someone with access to this browser profile may be able to see them. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent saving.
If you choose a paid personal report
Before checkout, you explicitly agree to send a copy of your saved political answers to our application server. The server validates those answers and binds the purchase to that snapshot with a keyed cryptographic fingerprint. When you open or download the paid report, the same answers are sent again for temporary processing. We do not save them in an application database, write them to application logs, or send them to an AI provider.
Stripe receives payment information, the report product, a non-readable fingerprint, and a digest of a random access key. It does not receive your individual answers, political scores, or ideology comparisons. Stripe processes its own payment, fraud prevention, and transaction records under its own privacy policy.
Your purchase reference, random access key, and purchased answer snapshot stay in this browser’s local storage. Download a private JSON backup if you want to restore a report on another device. That backup contains your political answers and proof of access: keep it private. Clearing browser data without a backup may prevent online access, because we cannot reconstruct answers from a payment record. Your downloaded PDF remains readable.
Purchase records remain with Stripe for payment administration. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send. Please send a receipt or checkout email for purchase help, not political answers, card details, or a private backup.
Sharing a result
When you copy a result link, it contains your rounded axis scores and answer-coverage counts after the # character. It does not contain the individual questions and answers. Your browser does not include this fragment in the ordinary HTTP page request.
Anyone with the full link can read the scores. A messaging app, browser history, extension, or other software you use may store the link. Do not share a result you want to keep private. Deleting local answers does not retract copies you have already shared.
Downloads and printing
A saved result card is generated on your device. Printing and saving as PDF use your browser. Keep these files somewhere appropriate for information about your political views.
Hosting and analytics
The hosting service receives ordinary web requests and may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested paths, browser details, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site. That is separate from the test’s locally stored answer data.
This deployment uses Gizmo Analytics for website usage measurement. The test does not send answer values, political scores, or ideology labels as custom analytics events. The analytics service receives technical and navigation information according to its own practices.
Clear your saved data
The buttons below let you remove test progress or all saved test and report data from this browser. They do not delete payment records, unrelated browser data, downloaded cards, browser history, or shared links. An already open test in another tab may save its progress again; close other test tabs first.
Remove test progress alone, or include purchased report snapshots and access keys. Save a report PDF and private backup before clearing purchased report data.
Links to other sites
Guides link to primary sources and other tests. Those sites operate independently and have their own data practices. This test does not send them your stored answers when you follow a normal source link.
